| Resources brought to Travis County Residents Commissioner Davis championed a bond-issuance resolution for the funding of a non-profit corporation to build a 53-mile pipeline that will bring a high- quality supply of water to the residents of Eastern Travis County, resulting in a potential 18 million additional gallons of water per day for County residents. Commissioner Davis supported and approved over $200,000 in funding to assist the residents of the Plainview Subdivision, (which is adjacent to Austin Colony) in providing requested water services to their community. Commissioner Davis played a vital role on the team assisting the residents of Kennedy Ridge in securing over $3.1 million dollars for the unincorporated Community of Kennedy Ridge for wastewater, water lines drainage, road improvements, and utility relocation. Commissioner Davis supported and approved $4.5 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Grant funding to provide home weatherization assistance to low-income Travis County residents. Commissioner Davis was the first local elected official to speak before the State Congressional Redistricting Committee Public Hearing in opposition to the state’s redistricting plan. |
